Percentage off

Percent-off calculator

Enter the original price and advertised percentage. DiscountCalc shows the amount saved, the sale price, and the exact remaining-price factor.

How to calculate percentage off

Convert the discount percentage to a decimal, multiply the original price to find the savings, then subtract those savings—or multiply once by the remaining-price factor.

Percent-off formula

Savings = original × (percent ÷ 100). Sale price = original × (1 − percent ÷ 100).

25% off $80

$80 × 0.25 = $20 saved; $80 − $20 = $60 to pay.

10% off $30

$30 × 0.10 = $3 saved; $30 × 0.90 = $27 to pay.

The currency does not change the arithmetic. Displayed money amounts are rounded to two decimals; verify tax, fees, coupon rules, and the advertised offer separately.
